Bollywood superstar Salman Khan is fondly called 'Bhaijaan.' Be it his fans or his colleagues in the industry, while some refer to him as 'Bhaijaan,' 'Bhai' or 'Sallu', other young actors call him 'Sir.' Though his friends address him by name, it is all about the respect and love that everyone has for him. But, there is one actor who doesn't refer Salman as 'Bhai.' And it is not because of enmity or anything else. Well, the actor is none other than birthday boy Emraan Hashmi.

On the Jannat actor's birthday let's take a look into the reason why Emraan doesn't call Salman 'Bhai.'

Recently, Emraan worked with Salman in Tiger 3 as the antagonist. This onscreen pairing was one of the much-awaited things and moviegoers showered praises on Emraan for his stellar performance in Tiger 3.

Emraan has carved a niche in the industry with his dedication and emerged as a versatile actor. Fans love him in different images, be it a loverboy or a gangster, Emraan has impressed everyone with his different onscreen characters. He also broke the tag of 'serial kisser' and played different roles.

Apart from being a good actor, Emraan is known for being candid. The Murder 2 actor is known for saying what's in his mind.

Earlier, during an interview with Connect FM Canada, Emraan disclosed the reason behind not calling Salman as 'Bhai.' He said, "I might not call Salman bhai, but I take him as a brother. I take him as a friend. I don't have to be out there and tom-tom about it and put a label on it because other people call him that."

Further, he added that respect doesn't come from what you say verbally, but from your behaviour and actions.

"I truly believe this, and this has been my family's upbringing. I respect everyone; I don't, in any way, segregate people on a film set. I respect all equally. Thanks to my grounding and my family background," he said.

Of course, Salman is Emraan's senior in the industry and like other actors, he could have called him 'Bhai' like them. Instead, he preferred to show him due respect and not just show off.

On the work front, Emraan is quite a busy bee now. Earlier this month, his much-discussed web series 'Showtime' started streaming on Disney + Hotstar. Recently, his 'Ae Watan Mere Watan' was also released on Prime Video, which also stars Sara Ali Khan. He will be next seen in Telugu films, titled 'They Call Him OG' and 'G2.'

Adding to the excitement of Emraan's birthday celebrations, the makers of OG revealed his first look. In the poster, Emraan is seen flaunting a villainous look while lighting a cigar.

He captioned the post, "Gambheera, Suna hai tu Bambai Aa raha hai. Vaada karta hoon: hum dono mein se kisi ek ka sar zaroor katega." (sic)

As it seems, the caption is a dialogue from 'They Call Him OG.'

Well, fans seem to be quite excited and the first look of their matinee idol in OG has doubled the excitement of Emraan Hashmi's birthday celebration.
