Every day on set, Johnson spent 3 to 4 hours in prosthetics, with 13-14 pieces sculpted by Oscar-winning artist Kazu Hiro to completely alter his face. “I was Mark Kerr,” Johnson later said, reflecting on the deep physical and emotional immersion the role required.
