Actress Divya Khosla Kumar recently intensified her feud with Alia Bhatt over the striking similarities between Savi and Jigra and took a dig at her through her social media post.

Taking to her Instagram story, Divya shared a photo of an empty theatre with a text reading, "Went to Citi Mall PVR for Jigra show. The theatre was totally empty … all theaters going empty everywhere. #Aliabhatt me sach mein Bahut #Jigra hai.. khud hi tickets

karide aur fake collections announce kar diye. Wonder why paid media is silent. #weshdnotfooltheaudience #truthoverlies #HappyDussehra." (sic)

Tagging Alia Bhatt cleverly in her post, she accused the Gangubai Kathiawadi actress of rigging the box office collections by purchasing the tickets herself.

Well, the screengrab of the post has gone viral on social media with netizens sharing it massively.

Notably, there were discussions around the striking similarities between Divya's recent release Savi and Alia's Jigra.

Both movies revolve around the jailbreak plot and are based on a housewife who plans for a jailbreak plot to free her husband from a high-security prison in England. The movie also features Harshvardhan Rane and Anil Kapoor. On the other hand, Jigra's plot revolves around Alia rescuing her brother (Vedang) from jail.

Reacting to the similarities, Divya earlier said that each film has its own path and is thankful that she explored the genre first. She also said that Savi's plot is inspired by Savitri and Satyavan story.

While speaking to IANS, Divya had said, "Yes, I too have been getting this question a lot from the media, the industry and the trade that ‘Savi’ and ‘Jigra’ are seeming very similar, the plot and everything. Well, I would just like to say that with the love of the audience and the grace of God that ‘Savi’ has proved its worth totally on its own merits. We had a very good run in theatres and OTT too and we topped the charts in various countries."

She went on to add, "I’m just thankful for all the love. And yes, our film was based on jailbreak– how a simple housewife attempts a jailbreak to get her husband out of prison. And even though ‘Jigra’ may be similar to it I feel every film has its own journey to it and sometimes two production houses can make a film on a similar plot."
