‘Amart Singh Chamkila’ star Diljit Dosanjh has been getting rave reviews for his performance in the Imtiaz Ali directorial. The movie has been getting critical acclaim from critics coupled with lots of love from the audience.
After winning hearts with Udta Punjab, Good Newwz and recently released Crew, Diljit now wishes to star opposite Kareena Kapoor in the sequel of the iconic movie ‘Jab We Met’.
The Punjabi star, who collaborated with Shahid Kapoor in Udta Punjab, acted with Kareena Kapoor in three movies and now with Imtiaz Ali in ‘Amar Singh Chamkila’, expressed his wish to be cast in Jab We Met 2, if the film is ever made.
During an interview, he was asked who he would choose to work with Kareena Kapoor or Imtiaz Ali once again. Instead of choosing one, Diljit proposed a counter idea and said that he could work with both of them in a possible sequel of Jab We Met.
“I would choose both. Maybe we can make Jab We Met 2! What a great film it was. It was a beautiful film,” Diljit answered. His answer left director Imtiaz Ali impressed who was also present during the interview.
Diljit also fanboyed over Imtiaz’s film ‘Rockstar’ which starred Ranbir Kapoor and Nargis Fakhri. The Punjabi singer has been all praise for Imtiaz but also compared Kareena to Rihanna and Beyonce.
Now, it is for fans to suggest if Diljit can ever replace Shahid as the loveable Aditya Kashyap. Even as the iconic film will forever be irreplaceable and live in our hearts rent-free, it would be astounding to see Imtiaz Ali recreating another magic if Jab We Met 2 is ever made.
