Today, everyone’s favourite Srivalli alias Rashmika Mandanna is a well known face. With back to back hit movies, she has created a niche for herself in a short span of time. She has worked in all the industries and with all the big stars.

But, there was a time when she was only a college-goer who had moved to Bangalore to pursue her degree. However, life had different plans for her. Life turned around for Rashmika after she accidentally participated in a contest judged by none other than Khiladi Akshay Kumar and the Bhallaldeva Rana Daggubati.

This story is before the Pushpa actress rose to fame. She accidentally ended up in the Clean & Clear Fresh Face contest. Akshay and Rana were promoting their film during the contest and chose her.

Later, she went on to make her debut with her then boyfriend and Kannada superstar Rakshit Shetty in the superhit movie ‘Kirik Party’.

Makers of Kirik Party saw a picture of Rashmika from the contest and approached her to act in the film. After auditioning over 400 girls and going through the profiles of at least 2,000 girls, Rashmika was signed to play the first female lead in the film.

Speaking about the incident, Rashmika told, “The makers of Kirik Party saw a picture of mine from the Clean & Clear Fresh Face of India 2014 competition – one in which I was dancing during the college round – and approached me to act in the film. I always wanted to be in films. I would watch actors receive awards and thank their parents in their acceptance speeches. That is something I always wanted to do.”

Today, Rashmika has risen to immense fame and each and every film that she’s starred in has turned out to be blockbusters. She has already featured in many superhit films and has worked with Mahesh Babu, Allu Arjun, Vijay Deverakonda and even the megastar Amitabh Bachchan.

On the professional front, she will be next seen in a movie with Sidharth Malhotra and in Pushpa: Chapter 2.
