Did Sushmita Sen break up with former IPL chairman Lalit Modi?

After sparking rumours of dating IPL founder Lalit Modi, former Miss Universe Sushmita Sen has reportedly broken up with the business fugitive. However, there has been no official confirmation in this regard.

Fans have started making speculations after Lalit Modi changed his bio and profile picture on his Instagram handle.

A few months back, the former IPL chairman had shared a slew of pictures calling the actress his better-half.

“Just back in London after a whirling global tour #Maldives #Sardinia with the families – not to mention my #betterhalf @sushmitasen47 – a new beginning, a new life finally. Over the moon,” Lalit had announced.

After the pictures went viral, he clarified and wrote, “Just for clarity. Not married – just dating each other. That too it will happen one day.”

Similarly, Sushmita Sen also shared a cryptic post. Sharing a happy picture with daughters Renee and Alisah, she wrote: "I am in a happy place! Not married, no rings...Unconditionally surrounded by love. Enough clarification given... Now back to life and work! Thank you for sharing in my happiness always...and for those who don't.

She signed off the post with the words: "It's NOYB anyway. I love you guys."

But, just after a few months, Lalit has removed the pictures with Sushmita Sen and her name from his bio. Soon, netizens speculated that the couple might have broken up and started a meme fest on Twitter.

On the professional front, Sushmita Sen was crowned Miss Universe in 1994. She made her debut in the 1996 film Dastak. Her filmography includes movies like Biwi No 1, Do Knot Disturb, Main Hoon Na, Maine Pyaar Kyun Kiya and Tumko Na Bhool Paayenge and No Problem.

She made her acting comeback with the International Emmy-nominated series Aarya and also starred in the second installment of the show.

On the other hand, Lalit was previously married to Minal Sagrani. They had two children. Lalit is also stepfather to Karima Sagrani, from Mrinal’s first marriage. 
Sushmita, on the other hand, was in a relationship with model Rohman Shawl, whom she met through Instagram in 2018.
