Pathaan’s massive success has brought back the dwindling status and financial condition of YRF on track. Not surprisingly though, because almost all action movies from the leading film-producing company in India have been highly successful like Tiger and War.
However, it was Dhoom led by Abhishek Bachchan that was the first action-based franchise in India and was extremely successful.
The last movie starred Aamir Khan in a double role of an antagonist and it was expected that the Lagaan actor will be returning to the franchise with Dhoom 4.
Reports stated that the Taare Zameen Par director, who is currently on a break from acting after the dismal performance of his home production Laal Singh Chaddha, wants to return to the big screen with Dhoom 4 and is looking for a good script.
However, his plans may not see the light of day because YRF has another plan in the pipeline. Currently, the focus of the production house is on the Tiger and War franchise and the team also wants to reap the rewards of the recent huge success of Pathaan.
That is why, after the release of Tiger 3, they want to first focus on Tiger Vs Pathaan movie while shooting simultaneously for War 2.
But there is a definite buzz that Dhoom 4 is also in the pipeline but instead of Aamir Khan YRF wants young actors to lead the franchise now and hence, they are thinking of roping in Ranveer Singh and Ranbir Kapoor together.
If that indeed happens, it will be one of the biggest star tussles on the silver screen and is sure to get a gigantic response.
And if it really happens, it would be interesting to see who will be the female lead as it will also add more value to the movie at the box office.
