Desi Boyz to reunite! John Abraham hints at possible reunion with Akshay Kumar for comedy flick

The on-screen collaboration and camaraderie of Akshay Kumar and John Abraham have resulted in some highly entertaining movies. With their compelling acting styles, comedic timing, actions and charm, John and Akki create a winning combination that delights the audience. The duo have worked together in Garam Masala, Desi Boyz and Housefull 2 delivering an entertaining cinematic experience. Well, the Desi Boyz are seemingly gearing up to reunite. John Abraham recently hinted at a possible reunion with Akshay Kumar for a comedy flick.

John Abraham Emphasises the Importance of Comedy Films

John Abraham is currently busy with promotions of 'The Diplomat'. Recently, he expressed his desire to collaborate with his 'Guruji' for a comedy movie.

During an interview with PTI, John stated that he was exploring opportunities to work on a comedy film. He also emphasised the importance of making people laugh in a meaningful way. Citing Garam Masala as an example of a special film that left an impact, he stated that he was actively searching for scripts that would allow him to return to the comedy genre.

John and Akki's Collaboration On The Cards!

Dropping a hint on collaboration with Akki, John revealed that he is in discussions with Akshay Kumar regarding the potential reunion.

The 52-year-old actor said, "We are having conversations, Akshay and I are having conversations. It will be a surprise if something happens. But we're looking at an excuse to work together again because Akshay and I feed off each other's energy. So, I'm looking for an excuse to work with him again soon."

Further, he also talked about his interest in working with director Shivam Nair on a comedy film. John admired Nair's ability to create slapstick comedy that leaves the audience in fits of laughter and praised his distinctive sense of humour.

If everything falls into place, fans will get to see John Abraham and Akshay Kumar together once again. Hopefully, the Desi Boyz will reunite to tickle the funny bones of the audience.
