Deepika Padukone getting selected as the jury at the International Cannes Festival 2022 became one of the hottest topics of discussion last month. And now, she is trending on all the social media platforms because of her latest dinner dress with the jury members, and also her fashion choices on the red carpet of the Cannes Festival in the last few years.

While Aishwarya Rai Bachchan was the one who definitely became an international star post-winning Miss World title and appearing in a few Hollywood movies and shows, her main claim to international fame off late is regular appearances on Cannes Red Carpet. And ditto goes for Sonam Kapoor, Hina Khan, and other Indian celebrities.

Priyanka Chopra Jonas is the only real Bollywood star who is equally active in Hollywood. But she has always been compared with Deeps and now that the Padmavaat actress is representing India on the jury at the Cannes Film Festival 2022, the comparison has once again gained momentum. These comparisons were triggered first when Deepika became a part of the Vin Diesel-led Hollywood movie XXX: The Xander Cage.

Even Deeps found it weird as according to her in creative space the demands and requirements for PeeCee differ a lot from what is expected of her. Priyanka started off in a television series Quantico and now has acted in quite a number of Hollywood movies, graced the Met Gala red carpet, Grammy Awards, and almost all the top shows and magazines in the US, and is a part of the elite celeb circle from Hollywood.

Certainly, her body of work at the international level is much bigger than Deepika's. But the Indian film industry is the biggest market in the world. Nowadays, movies are released worldwide and even Hindi film actresses have a big fanbase globally. So, even though Priyanka is a bigger star in Hollywood as compared to Deepika, the brand value and popularity of Deeps seem to be a notch higher across the world.

That is why she has been included in the jury member team at the Cannes Festival 2022 and also as the first Indian to become a brand ambassador of Louis Vitton internationally.
