Series and shows on OTT platforms and television keep on triggering controversies and debates now and then. One such show that was loved as well as even hated by a few was Indian Matchmaking which was backed by Netflix. Due to the Corona pandemic, the second season had to be kept on hold. But now the makers are back with Indian Matchmaking Season 2.

The show received a lot of criticism and was trolled on social media. Despite all these things, Indian Matchmaking was nominated for the Emmy Awards 2021. And this was quite a surprise for everyone. And that is the reason the hype around the second season of the show has been quite high.

What to expect from Indian Matchmaking Season 2

Sima Taparia, the famous marriage consultant from Mumbai who was part of the first season will make a comeback during the second season. Fondly called Sima Aunty she has helped many individuals find the perfect partners for them. Sima Taparia herself announced that the second season of the series will be back soon.

Talking about the show, Taparia said that she received a lot of love for her work on the show and since matchmaking is her passion, she loves to share her work with audiences across the globe. In the first season of Indian Matchmaking, Sima Aunty helped Aparna Shewakramani, a lawyer based in Texas to find love. Aparna was against the idea of changing for love. Other interesting candidates who entered the show for matchmaking included a jewelry designer from Mumbai, Pradhyman Maloo, and a wedding planner from New Jersey, Nadia Jagessar.

The show has been created by Smriti Mundhra who was earlier nominated for Academy Award and will start streaming on Netflix on August 10, 2022. The Indian Matchmaking show will feature 8 episodes in the second season.
