Confirmed! Sreeleela to make Bollywood debut with Varun Dhawan; Deets Inside!

Rumours about the South Indian sensation Sreeleela making her debut in Bollywood have been going around for some time. Earlier there was a strong buzz that the actress was all set to debut in the Hindi film industry alongside Ibrahim Ali Khan. But now there is confirmed news from Pinkvilla that Sreeleela will make her Hindi debut with Varun Dhawan with a comedy thriller directed by veteran director David Dhawan.

It can be one of the best Bollywood launches for a South Indian actress after Rashmika Mandanna was introduced with Animal. The team of Varun and David Dhawan has given blockbusters like Main Tera Hero and Judwaa 2. A third movie between the son-father duos has been in the offing and both of them have been discussing and hunting for the right script. Now the source says that they have narrowed down on a particular script. The movie is expected to go on the floors by next month.

The script is original and the movie will be a comedy entertainer similar to David Dhawan’s earlier movies with Govinda and Salman Khan.

Sreeleela is locked by Ramesh Taurani’s production house

The report says that the movie will be bankrolled by Ramesh Taurani under his production banner TIPS Entertainment. They have already locked Sreeleela as the love interest of Varun Dhawan. According to the source, “Much like all David Dhawan comedies, this one is also a love triangle where the humour is a result of confusion in leading man’s life. The team has roped in Sreeleela to play Varun’s love interest in the film.”

The source continued, “It’s a pakka-commercial entertainer and Sreeleela also feels that this would be the perfect launch pad for her in Hindi markets.” Mrunal Thakur is already on the board as the female lead in this movie.

In the movie, “Varun will be romancing both Mrunal and Sreeleela in the film. It’s a fun entertainer, on the lines of the cinema that David Dhawan is known for. Varun also returns to his home turf. The makers have gone all out to pull off a fresh-casting coup bringing in Mrunal and Sreeleela on board alongside Varun.”
