Clean sweep for Pushpa 2 as Singham Again gets postponed

Allu Arjun’s highly anticipated movie Pushpa: The Rule will be released in theaters on August 15, 2024. After the massive success of the first movie Pushpa: The Rise, it is expected that this Sukumar-helmed sequel is also going to be a blockbuster. The swag of Pushpa played by Bunny and the beauty of Srivalli aka Rashmika Mandanna is expected to make the sequel yet another big movie of this year.

So when Rohit Shetty announced that his upcoming action movie Singham Again with Ajay Devgn in the lead will also be released on August 15, 2024, fans of both stars thought that there was going to be a big clash at the box office. However, now it seems Pushpa 2 will have a clean sweep as Singham Again which also stars other big actors like Deepika Padukone, Ranveer Singh, and Kareena Kapoor Khan has got postponed.

Bollywood Hungama has reported that Singham Again will be released at a later date but the delay in release is not because the makers want to avert a clash with Pushpa 2. Rather it is because the makers want to maintain the grand vision and high standards of the movie and despite trying very hard they are unable to meet the deadline of August 15.

The project is important for both Ajay Devgn and Rohit Shetty who are reuniting for the big screen after a long gap. Rohit is currently going through a bad phase after his comedy movie Cirkus starring Ranveer Singh, Jacqueline Fernandez, and Pooja Hegde was a disaster at the box office.

That is why he wants to make sure that he delivers a hit with Singham Again and is focussing meticulously on every detail. According to the source, “Jio has suggested a Diwali 2024 release to Rohit and Ajay, and the duo is also considering the date. The timelines of VFX and background score are now being reworked keeping the Diwali 2024 deadline in mind. Diwali has also proved to be lucky for Ajay and Rohit combo."
