CID 2 makers have achieved exactly what they wanted with their latest PR stint

Fans had huge expectations when their favourite ACP Pradyuman, Abhijeet, and Daya returned with a new season of CID . Titled CID 2, fans wanted the new season to be updated and include some of the latest technologies to solve murders and criminal cases. However, CID 2 failed to offer something new and continued on the same hackneyed path of storytelling, and that has resulted in low views and less response on Sony Television.

ACP Pradyuman to die in CID 2?

One thing that has remained constant in CID right from the start is Shivaji Satam as ACP Pradyuman. Abhijeet and Daya were added later on. That is why when the makers announced that the ACP was going to die in the upcoming episode of the crime-based serial, fans were shocked. They could not take it that the main character of the serial around whom the entire storyline revolved would breathe its last so soon.

It created an outrage on social media with many CID fans slamming the makers for killing their favourite character to gain views. They even accused the makers of a lack of good quality and creative ideas which has forced them to remove the popular character of ACP Pradyuman from CID 2.

But fans have forgotten that in CID many times lead characters like Abhijeet and Daya have been almost killed or have been shown in a coma only to return to the serial. So there are chances that this is a mere PR stunt that the makers are planning and that sooner or later the ACP will return to the serial.

Whether ACP will return or not is still hanging but one thing is sure that by announcing his death they have managed to garner a lot of attention. All the die-hard fans of CID who have been watching the serial since childhood will definitely watch the episode of CID 2 to see how ACP Pradyuman dies and whether it is just a twist or reality.
