Chhadapatra: Tarang Plus’ web series on socio-family drama set for May 9 release

Tarang Plus, Odisha's first online and leading video streaming OTT platform of Odisha Television Limited, has come up with yet another web series- ‘Chhadapatra’.

Chhadapatra is full of ‘drama, love, hurt and betrayal’. The series revolves around two Television stars Akash and Bhumika (played by Jagjit Pal and Sradha Panigrahi respectively), and their ugly divorce case. 

This Tarang Cine Productions’ web series, directed by Rajendra Mohanta and produced by Surya Rath, will be streaming on the Tarang Plus OTT platform from May 9 (Tuesday).

The trailer of Chhadapatra was released on April 30. It received a positive response from audience and has so far garnered over 144K views.

Chhadapatra director Rajendra Mohanta said, “A director always tries to work on different genres, and so do I. This is a social subject and therefore, we have tried to present it in a realistic way.”

“Chhadapatra is all about how two co-stars fall in love, tie the knot and then get separated. Audience will find the story relatable. So, we have tried to keep it very much realistic and raw for the audience,” added Mohanta.

The director further said he is quite confident that people will find the series unique due to its presentation and treatment.

Apart from Jagjit Pal and Sradha Panigrahi in the lead, Chhadapatra features an ensemble cast of B M Baisali, Manashwini Pati, Shakti Baral, Pintu Nanda, Mihir Swain, Abhinav, Bulu Panda, Anshu Tripathy, Sunanda, Akash and Roshan in key roles.
