From superstar Salman Khan to Shah Rukh Khan, our favourite Bollywood stars have many lookalikes. Now, the internet has discovered the doppelgangers of 90s star Govinda and the ‘Kamli’ of Bollywood, Katrina Kaif.
Katrina Kaif’s lookalike has been identified as Alina Rai, a model and actor. Rai became an internet sensation after an Instagram user pointed out her striking resemblance and similarity with Katrina Kaif.
Now, she has amassed a huge fan following online with over 1M followers on Instagram alone. She first hogged the limelight after a video of her on TikTok went viral. However, she shifted to Instagram after the ban on TikTok.
“I literally thought this is @katrinakaif for a second, damn!!” commented a user while another wrote, “Ditto Kat.”
However, the aspiring actress isn’t too happy with the comparison and said, “We are both individuals with our own individuality and personalities. I feel very uncomfortable with the word ‘doppelganger’ and don’t believe that we should be judged purely on our appearance. We all have so much more to offer as individuals."
On the professional front, Katrina was last seen in Phone Bhoot, also starring actors Ishaan Khatter and Siddhant Chaturvedi. She is happily married to actor Vicky Kaushal and is doing well in personal life too.
Similarly, dance icon Govinda who ruled the industry in the 90s still continues to have a loyal fan base. The actor appears in TV shows and is often approached by fans for selfies and autographs.
Recently, a doppelganger approached him at the airport and fans got confused as to who the real Govinda was. Dressed in a maroon suit and sunglasses, the doppleganger looked exactly like Govinda. The ‘Joru Ka Ghulam’ star, who was travelling with his wife Sunita Ahuja, stepped aside and posed for a picture.
The lookalike had brought a bouquet of flowers for his guru and touched his feet upon meeting him.
The picture of the two is now going viral on Instagram. Fans are amazed by the striking resemblance.
A user even commented, “Bhai Real konsa hai (Which one is real)?” while another one wrote, “Mujhe red suit wala real Govinda laga (I thought the one in the red suit is the real Govinda).”
