In a recent development, South Korean sensation BTS is set to bid temporary farewell as RM, V, Jungkook, and Jimin embark on their mandatory military service. 

According to K-media reports, the enlistment process has been initiated, with V and RM scheduled to join on December 11, and followed closely by Jimin and Jungkook on December 12, 2023.

While RM and V are expected to serve in support positions behind the lines, Jimin and Jungkook will be on the front lines. BIGHIT MUSIC, BTS's agency, released a statement expressing gratitude for ongoing support and assuring fans of the group's return in good health after completing their military duty.

The enlistment news was accompanied by a statement from BIGHIT Music, acknowledging the initiation procedure but citing difficulty in confirming specific dates at the moment.

Following completion of training, the members—RM, Jimin, V, and Jungkook—are slated to serve 18 months of active duty in the Army, each fulfilling their roles in units such as The Indigo, Like Crazy, Layover, and Golden Crooners.

Amidst this, BTS enthusiasts can look forward to the release of the much-anticipated trailer for the docu-series "BTS Monuments: Beyond The Star." 

Launched on November 29, KST, the three-episode mini-series promises an in-depth exploration of BTS's remarkable 10-year journey. From struggles and challenges to the soaring highs of stardom, the series captures the essence of BTS's evolution.
