It has been 7 years since Kriti Sanon marked her debut in Bollywood with Heropanti along with Tiger Shroff. The film was counted as one of the best launches ever for two fresh faces. Over the years Kriti has been able to establish herself as one of the most sought actresses in the industry. As Kriti clocked seven years in Bollywood, she shared some interesting revelations on her journey in B-town coming from a non-filmy background.
Talking about her journey in Bollywood, Kriti shared that it is a dream that she never imagined she will be able to fulfil due to her humble beginnings and no connections in B-town. She said in an interview, “This journey has been extremely special, something that I never dreamed of. I come from a simple, middle-class family — my mom is a professor and my dad is a chartered accountant. I am an engineer, and I had never thought that acting would be my profession.”
She added that people told her that it is too big of a dream, “Initially, my relatives and friends told me that Bollywood is too big a dream to pursue and there are too many people who are struggling and want to be in this industry. So, I do feel fortunate to get opportunities to come this far and live my dream.”

The Luka Chuppi actor also revealed that she sometimes felt lonely being an outsider in the industry. She said to TOI, “I got the feeling of being accepted right from the beginning, but it took me some time to find my place in the industry. I was new to the city, came from a non-filmy background and knew nobody here. I did feel like a bit of a loner in these filmy parties, which sometimes I still do. Reaching this far wasn’t easy. I went for a lot of auditions before I got Heropanti, and I must say I was initially terrible at it (auditions). “
The actress thanked and expressed her gratitude towards all the filmmakers she worked with for giving an opportunity to work and doing films. Interestingly as Kriti Sanon is celebrating her 7 years in the showbiz, she already has 7 projects lined up to take her career to another high. From Prabhas’a Adipurush to Bachchan Pandey with Akshay Kumar, she has a packed schedule this and the coming year as well.
