News Highlights

  • Salman Khan recently said that he will share the screen next with Venkatesh Daggubati.
  • Sallu Bhai has already confirmed that he will feature in Chiranjeevi's upcoming big-budget movie Godfather.

Bollywood and Southern crossovers have increased in the last few years but they have been mostly centered on the actresses. Big Bollywood superstars have always favoured remakes of Southern hits like Drushyam, Wanted, Kabir Singh to name but a few. Even then sharing the screen space with South superstars for a regional movie has been very rare.

However, it seems now Salman Khan is all set to introduce this new trend. Earlier, the Dabangg Khan had confirmed that he will be sharing screen space with Southern superstar Chiranjeevi in Godfather. This big-budget movie is the remake of the Malayalam super hit movie titled Lucifer and will be helmed by Mohan Raja.

Now, Bhaijaan is all set to star along with yet another big South Indian actor Ventakesh in his upcoming film. The announcement was made by Salman Khan in Hyderabad a day ago while addressing the press during the promotion of Aayush Sharma led Antim: The Last Truth.

At the event, Sallu Bhai said that he shares a good bond with Ram Charan, Chiranjeevi and Ventakesh and will soon feature in the upcoming movie of Ventakesh Daggubati. However, he refrained from giving out more information related to the project. Antim: The Truth has received a mediocre response at the box office. In this movie, the Tubelight actor has played the role of a Sikh for the first time.

When asked why Antim: The Truth did not turn out a crowd puller as expected with every Salman Khan release, the superstar said that most of the moviegoers did not go to the theaters because they felt that he had a presence of only a few minutes in the movie.

Salman Khan’s last movie Radhe: Your Most Wanted Bhai directed by Prabhu Deva was released on OTT but failed to win the audience. His upcoming movies include Tiger 3 with Katrina Kaif, and Kabhi Eid Kabhi Diwali with Pooja Hegde, and Kick 2 with Jacqueline Fernandez.
