This conversation on Karan Johar’s show created quite a buzz. Post that, Vicky and Katrina Kaif were invited to Anupama Chopra's tape cast for Film Companion. Their chemistry during the interview was on fire and viewers could feel the romantic vibes and looks that they shared expecting Katrina and Vicky to be together someday.

The buzz became stronger when the two shared the stage for an awards function. Vicky was on the stage when Katrina was called upon. Importantly, the rumoured longtime boyfriend of Kats-Salman Khan was also in the audience when Vicky dramatically asked her, “Mujhse Shaadi Karogi?”
There were many instances where Vicky indirectly tried to convey his feelings to Kats on the stage and not surprisingly, the ever-so-shy had been quite supportive of these actions from Vicky. Post that regularly for two years, the rumours about the actors dating each other circulated. The two were spotted together many times during events or general functions but made sure that a factor of ambiguity remained attached to their relationship.
From attending the Diwali bash of a friend together, having dinner with a common friend, to posing with a chef, the two continued to spark rumours about their affair. But they continued to avoid the paparazzi or making their relationship official on social media platforms.
