Bigg Boss 18: Nia Sharma exits before premiere, apologizes to fans for backing out

Television actress Nia Sharma, initially announced by Rohit Shetty as a contestant for 'Bigg Boss 18' during the 'Khatron Ke Khiladi 14' grand finale, has withdrawn from the Salman Khan-hosted reality show. Nia took to Instagram to express regret and apologise to her fans, citing overwhelming support but clarifying that circumstances were beyond her control. The new season of 'Bigg Boss', featuring contestants like Muskan Bamne and Vivian Dsena, premieres on October 6, 2024.

Television actress Nia Sharma, who was the first confirmed contestant of ‘Bigg Boss 18’, has backed out of the Salman Khan-hosted reality show. The announcement was initially made by Rohit Shetty during the grand finale of ‘Khatron Ke Khiladi 14’, where Nia had even asked ‘Bigg Boss 17’ contestant Abhishek Kumar to support her in the upcoming season.

However, just days after the confirmation, Nia took to social media to announce her withdrawal from the show.

In an Instagram story, Nia expressed her regret to fans and well-wishers, apologizing for disappointing them. She acknowledged the immense support and excitement surrounding her potential participation.

"To the fans and well-wishers I have disappointed, sorry. I’ve been overwhelmed by the tremendous support, love, and crazy hype! Almost made me realize what I have earned in the last 14 years. I can’t say I didn’t enjoy the attention. But please don’t blame me. It wasn’t me," Nia wrote.

A few days prior, Nia had reacted to inquiries regarding her participation in ‘Bigg Boss 18’. She shared a message asking people to stop contacting her about the show, stating that she wasn’t interested in responding to any questions. "Please don’t call or text me to ask about ‘Bigg Boss’. Forgive me, I won’t reply. Not up for quotes or interviews. Have an awesome day," she posted.

‘Bigg Boss 18’, hosted by Salman Khan will premiere today (October 6, 2024) on Colors TV and will also be available on JioCinema. The season will feature contestants like Muskan Bamne, Vivian Dsena, Nyrraa Banerji, and others.
