Pavitra Rishta fame Ankita Lokhande faced an unexpected exit from the Bigg Boss 17 competition, securing the fourth position in the reality TV series. The show, which premiered on October 15, 2023, on Colors TV and Jio Cinema, concluded with Munawar Faruqui clinching the victory amid fierce competition.
While Ankita had high hopes of emerging as the winner, she fell short of securing a position in the coveted top 3. However, despite not claiming the title, Ankita did not leave empty-handed. In fact, she reportedly became the highest-paid contestant in Bigg Boss 17.
According to reports, Ankita received a substantial weekly payment of Rs 12 lakh for her participation in the show. Spending a total of 15 weeks in the Bigg Boss house, she earned an impressive 12 lakh rupees each week, accumulating a grand total of Rs 1.08 crore. This remarkable figure surpasses the typical winner’s prize of Rs 50 lakh and a luxury car.
Ankita’s eviction surprised many, including her husband Vicky Jain and the show’s host, Salman Khan. Vicky, visibly emotional, witnessed Ankita’s departure with tears in his eyes. Despite the unexpected turn of events, Ankita expressed her happiness, highlighting the presence of her mother by her side during this pivotal moment.
Throughout her Bigg Boss journey, Ankita consistently drew attention, particularly for her conflicts with husband Vicky Jain and his mother. Tensions escalated in the show’s second week when Ankita revealed emotional neglect by her businessman husband. The relationship weathered frequent conflicts, intensifying with the entry of Vicky’s mother into the house. However, Vicky later realised his mistakes, apologised, and went down on one knee to express his remorse.
On the professional front, Ankita Lokhande is set to star in the upcoming film Swatantra Veer Savarkar alongside Randeep Hooda. Despite not clinching the Bigg Boss title, Ankita’s journey has undoubtedly left a lasting impact on viewers.
