Big B, Jaya Bachchan celebrate 50th marriage anniversary; daughter Shweta shares their secret

Megastar Amitabh Bachchan and his lovely wife Jaya Bachchan on Saturday celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary. Big B’s daughter Shweta Bachchan took to social media to wish her parents on the special occasion.

The starkid also shared the secret of their happy long marriage. Sharing a black and white vintage picture of both Big B and Jaya, Shweta wrote, “Happy 50th parents, now you’re ‘Golden’ once on being asked what’s the secret to a long marriage is, my mother answered – love, and I think my father was – the wife is always right. That’s the long & short of it!!”

In the vintage photo, Amitabh Bachchan and Jaya can be seen posing for a picture as they look at each other and are engrossed in each other’s eyes.

Big B also penned a small note thanking his fans for their wishes on his 50th wedding anniversary with Jaya.

“June 3 dawns in a few and the years be counted as 50. Love respect and gratitude for the wishes, that have come and perhaps shall come,” he wrote.

On the professional front, Big B suffered injuries while shooting for Prabhas’ Project K also starring the gorgeous Deepika Padukone. He had to take rest before resuming his shooting once again. He also has special appearances in Tiger Shroff’s Ganapath, The Umesh Chronicles and Ghoomer.

On the other hand, Jaya Bachchan will be next seen in Karan Johar’s romantic comedy Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani starring Ranveer Singh, Alia Bhatt, Dharmendra, and Shabana Azmi.
