Bhoomika plays a bold cop in thriller Mayavee

Bubbly girl of Odia filmdom Bhoomika Dash is gearing up for the release of her upcoming film with actor Amlan Das, titled Mayavee. The actress will be donning the role of a cop in the movie which of course, is a first for her. 

Bhoomika will be seen as an IPS officer chasing down the accused of a double murder case. She will play a cop named Jyotika, who is outspoken, bold, and a pure badass. 

Talking about the plot, Bhoomika said, “For the first time in my career, I am essaying the role of a rough and tough cop in this crime and suspense thriller. The movie revolves around a double murder case and ends with a social message. I can say ending of the movie is interesting enough, It’s beyond expectation of audience.”

She further said, “Amlan will be playing a journalist’s character and also my husband.  In the movie, I will be seen unraveling mystery behind the double murder case and finding out the ‘mayavee’ (culprit).  Donning the police uniform is a lifetime experience for me. It’s not an action movie but a thriller one. I hope audience will like me in my new avtar.”

Bhoomika

Earlier, Mahurat of the movie was held at the Lions’ Gate of Srimandir in Puri in the month of February in the presence of the film’s cast and crew including producer Tapan Dash and director Sudhanshu Sahu. The mahurat clap was given by School and Mass Education Minister Samir Ranjan Dash. 

The film also features Aliva, Ashutosh, Kunal Chakradhar and Prashant.  The film will hit theatres on July 29.

Bhoomika

It may be mentioned that Bhoomika completed five years in Odia filmdom. Though Bhoomika made her debut as a child artiste in Rumku Jhumana, it was Tu Mo Love Story which launched her as a female lead opposite Swaraj Barik. The film was a big hit.
