A police force rookie gets transferred to the Mumbai police department and is asked to work under his senior who is the head of the anti-extortion unit. During an ambush, while he is in pursuit of a suspect things go wrong which leads to unusual circumstances.

As the title indicates the story is set in the Thar Desert and revolves around circumstances during the 1980s. Anil Kapoor and Harshvardhan Kapoor share the screen for the first time in this movie in which an official who is about to retire gets a chance of his lifetime to prove his mettle when in a remote town several people are brutally killed. When a mysterious young man arrives on the scene the plot gets more tricky and interesting.

Directed by Imtiaz Ali, this series is about a woman constable who is assigned a task as an undercover agent and during the process gets to explore her potential. The series is led by Vijay Varma, Aditi Pohankar, and Vishwas Kini.
