Popular TV actor shares shocking casting couch experience
Despite the #MeToo movement, casting couch unfortunately is still very rampant in the film industry. Recently, popular Television show ‘Pandya Store’ actor Mohit Parmar shared a shocking casting couch experience of his friend and actress Prernaa Thhakurr.
The actor revealed how Prernaa was asked to compromise if she wanted to get a role. Bringing allegations against Prem Malhotra, Mohit warned struggling actors and actresses from accepting roles from Prem from Skyline Spree Production. To prove his allegations, Mohit also shared screenshots of the disturbing messages allegedly sent by Prem to Prernaa.
The screenshot exposed a casting director for asking to do ‘compro’ with Prernaa. When Prernaa asked the casting director if there was any role that she would fit in, the casting director allegedly replied, “Esme Compro Hai. One Time Bas.”
He even sent her his address and when she declined, he started abusing her. ‘Tereko Cho**ga Ache Se,” he wrote.
Sharing the screenshot, Mohit wrote, “Beware of this as**le, this so-called casting coordinator, he’s been abusing and harassing female artists and asking them to sleep with him."
“If he contacts you for casting or if you find him in any audition group, block him, report him or file a complaint against him, he goes by the name Prem Malhotra,” he further added.
Prem Malhotra is yet to respond to the allegations brought in by Mohit Parmar.
