Bachchan Pandey: The Kashmir Files Dampens Gross Collection Of Akshay Kumar Starrer On Day 2

Bollywood's action king Akshay Kumar's Bachchan Pandey, released on March 18, is running successfully across the country. However, the craze of audience for The Kashmir Files has taken a huge toll on Aki's latest release directed by Farhad Samji affecting the gross collection on Day 2 and expectedly will continue this weekend.

Aki's Bachchan Pandey is an action-comedy movie which also stars Kriti Sanon, Jacqueline Fernandez and Arshad Warsi in pivotal roles. The Khiladi star looks quite dreadful in the movie and his character is quite notorious. However, apart from showcasing his action talent, his character is blended with humour, which has, by now, become an inseparable part of the Heri Pheri actor.

As everyone got a glance of all the prominent characters in the movie from the official teaser, Akshay aka Bachchan Pandey is a dreaded criminal with a dreadful appearance, which is a never-seen avatar of the action star. Implanted with a marble eye and burning rage in his other eye, Pandey believes in invoking fear among all with his blood-thirsty and violent activities.

The action sequences in the movie are much more ferocious than the teaser. And, by now, who all have watched the movie in theatres won't deny to shower praises for the movie. Even, the story is quite engaging with chunks of humour. Needless to say, the songs and dance numbers successfully drew everyone's attention.

However, the existing craze for The Kashmir Files has affected the gross collections of the movie at the Box Office. Though the movie is running successfully in theatres across the country, it minted Rs 12 crore on the second day which was Rs 13.25 crore on day 1. The total collection dampened on day 2 taking the gross collection to Rs 25.25 crore.

Trade analyst Taran Adarsh on Sunday also took to social media expressing his opinion over the need of the flick improving its performance on day 3.

Adarsh's Twitter post read: "#BachchhanPaandey gets hit by the unprecedented #TKF wave across the country... Mass circuits are steady, but plexes remain low on Day 2... Needs to improve its performance on Day 3... Fri 13.25 cr, Sat 12 cr. Total: ₹ 25.25 cr."

Even the trade analyst also shared about the thumping success of The Kashmir Files on Day 9.

Bachchan Pandey Vs Radhe Shyam

Meanwhile, Prabhas starrer Radhe Shyam has landed into a turmoil. While the movie is running successfully in South versions, it comparably failed to impress in Hindi dubbed language.

According to trade analyst Manobala Vijayabalan, Radhe Shyam grossed Rs 191.14 crore in seven days and is likely to continue its run till RRR takes over.

However, on Sunday he confirmed about Radhe Shyam entering Rs 200 Crore club with its worldwide collections.
