‘Asked to seduce him under guise of audition’: Popular Bigg Boss winner alleges sexual harassment

In the wake of serious allegations of sexual assault and harassment in the Malayalam film industry, a popular Bigg Boss contestant has come forward and shared her story of being sexually assaulted by a Bollywood filmmaker.

The actress alleged that a famous filmmaker tried to force himself on her. During a conversation with News18, actress Shilpa Shinde revealed how she was asked to arouse a director under the guise of an audition.

Thinking it to be real audition, she agreed, but understood the director’s intention after he tried to force himself on her.

“When the situation escalated, I realised the producer was crossing boundaries and managed to push him away before running out,” Shilpa revealed.

“It was during my struggling days. They told me ‘Aap yeh kapde pehno aur yeh scene karo’. In the scene, he told me he was my boss and I had to seduce him. I was very innocent then, so I did the scene. That person tried to force himself on me, and I got so scared. I pushed him away and ran out,” Shilpa recalled.

“The security guard realised what had happened and asked me to leave immediately. They thought I would make a scene and call for help,” she shared.

“He was also an actor and I’m not lying, his children are probably a little younger than me, and if I name him, they will suffer too,” she added.

Shilpa then narrated how she met the director again who behaved as if he did not even remember me.

“After a few years, I met him again, and he spoke to me kindly. He didn’t recognize me and even offered me a film role. I refused. He still doesn’t remember me,” Shilpa said.

For the unversed, Shilpa was part of popular comedy TV show ‘Bhabhi Ji Ghar Par Hai’. She rose to fame after she participated in Salman Khan’s reality TV show ‘Bigg Boss’ season 11 and emerged as the winner.
