1994's action-comedy flick Andaz Apna Apna, starring Aamir Khan, Salman Khan, Raveena Tandon, Karisma Kapoor, Paresh Rawal and Shakti Kapoor in key roles that underperformed at the box office initially, achieved a cult classic status over time. In 2024, Aamir dropped a hint on a sequel to Andaz Apna Apna with Rajkumar Santoshi which triggered excitement among all. However, before the sequel, Amar and Prem are gearing up to tickle the funny bones of the new generation audience in theatres.
Andaz Apna Apna Re-release
Vinay Pictures, the producers, are re-releasing Andaz Apna Apna in April 2025. Namrata, Priti and Amod Sinha, producers and children of Vinay Sinha, are committed to bringing the original film to the audience. The Sinhas have restored and remastered the film in 4K and Dolby 5.1 sound.

Aamir and Salman's Clash on Set
Aamir and Salman played the roles of Amar and Prem in Andaz Apna Apna. Amar-Prem clashed throughout the movie. However, the duo had built a strained relationship off-screen during the shoot. Disagreements between the duo on multiple occasions and varied work approaches often led to friction.

Raveena and Karisma's Fight
Raveena and Karisma were friends in the comedy flick. However, the duo had some tension and they had a fight. Director Santoshi, during an interview with Rajeev Masand in 2019 said that it was the leading ladies who had issues on the sets. He said that Raveena and Karisma had some tension. But, during the shooting, they were totally committed.
Further, he shared that they weren’t talking during the climax shoot.
Santoshi said, "They had gone to shoot Aatish (1994) and while returning, they had some fight at the airport and hence, they weren’t talking. So the scene had them tied up to a pillar. When they wished to tell something to each other, they did that through me, for example, to keep the rope loose because one had to do a hand movement."
Layer, Santoshi shouted at them to speak to each other directly. And when the crew was changing the lighting he asked them not to open the duo till they talked to each other.

Manisha Koirala Replaced By Karisma!
Certain reports suggest Manisha Koirala was the first choice of the makers, not Karisma Kapoor. However, Manisha declined the offer when the makers approached her. Ultimately, the role landed with Karisma.
Amrish Puri as Zorambo!
Reportedly, the makers had plans to have Amrish Puri in a special role as Zorambo, Mogambo's brother, in Andaz Apna Apna. However, it never happened.
Not Shakti Kapoor, Tinnu Anand Was To Play Crime Master Gogo!
Actor Shakti Kapoor played Mr India's villain Mogambo's Bhatija (nephew) Crime Master Gogo's role in Andaz Apna Apna and the character became iconic. But, did you know, Kapoor was not the first choice for the role? Reportedly, Tinnu Anand was the first choice for the character.
Fans might be remembering that Andaz Apna Apna had Juhi Chawla and Govinda in special appearances. However, Govinda was not the first choice for the special appearance, it was Sunny Deol. However, Govinda replaced Sunny.
