When Arshad Warsi and Rajkumar Hirani's names are mentioned together, fans immediately think of ‘Munna Bhai 3’. The duo has faced countless inquiries about the project over the years, but the anticipated reunion is finally here—though not for ‘Munna Bhai 3’. Instead, Warsi is set to star as a co-lead in Hirani’s new venture, a web series.

Rajkumar Hirani is making his debut in the world of streaming with a series for Disney+ Hotstar, tentatively titled ‘Pritam Pedro’. Hirani will serve as the showrunner and producer, with his assistant director, Amir Satyaveer Singh, taking the helm under Hirani’s guidance.

Alongside Vikrant Massey, who is already cast, Arshad Warsi has joined as his co-lead. The show is described as a "Man Friday" story featuring two contrasting cops who must work together to solve cases.

Currently in pre-production, ‘Pritam Pedro’ carries Hirani’s signature blend of crime drama and humor. A source from the creative team revealed to Bollywood Hungama that while Hirani is renowned for his comedies, this series will explore crime drama with his unique humor. Hirani may even direct a few episodes himself.

In ‘Pritam Pedro’, Warsi will play Pritam, a traditional cop, while Massey will portray Pedro, a tech-savvy cop. Their differing methods will lead to an engaging clash of ideologies. Shooting for the series is scheduled to begin in November 2025, with Goa selected as a key location, alongside Mumbai and Pune. There is no release date set for the project yet.
