Hollywood superstar Arnold Schwarzenegger is 76 and looking at his current fitness level it seems unbelievable that the eternal Terminator is in his late seventies now.

The man who inspired millions like Bollywood superstar Hrithik Roshan to take up bodybuilding and character like Vikram in Shankar’s movie has reigned for decades in Hollywood with his large-than-life image on the screen.

Bodybuilding aspirations and awards

Usually, actors take up bodybuilding for a particular movie or after coming into Bollywood. But it was the other way for Arnold Schwarzenegger who was passionate about it since young age. Interestingly, that helped him create a record of winning the Mr. Olympia title for bodybuilding a record seven times. Also, it is this well-toned body of Arnold that landed him his first role in the movie Conan the Barbarian.

The film made him a star overnight. Bigger hits that followed like Commando, True Lies, and Predator further consolidated his position in the Hollywood industry as a superstar. Incidentally, India’s commando actor Vidyut Jammwal who is an inspiration in his own right for bodybuilding enthusiasts considers Arnold Schwarzenegger as his inspiration.

Apart from showcasing his bodybuilding and fitness at events and in movies he has also worked as an advocate for health and fitness.

Surprised everyone with his political stint

The superstar always knew that he can lead his team and group if given the chance. He intended to introduce something new so that life in his state can be better. And that is why he ventured into politics and was even the governor of California for around 8 years from 2003 to 2011.

After that, he returned to movies with a bang and was a part of some big franchises like The Expendables and the Terminator Genisys. Very few people know that since he was not an American he could not speak English properly at the start. But with determination and practice, he overcome this drawback and soon became highly fluent as the Americans themselves.
