Arjun Kapoor is set to take on the role of a villain in the highly anticipated film ‘Singham Again’, directed by Rohit Shetty.
Recently, the filmmaker shared the first-look poster of Arjun in his menacing character, creating a buzz among fans. Arjun has now opened up about playing the antagonist in the much anticipated movie and showered praise on Rohit Shetty.
“I’m just too thankful to all the directors and producers who have given me a chance to shine. So, I’m ecstatic that a stalwart filmmaker like Rohit Shetty saw I had the potential to play the villain in his massively mounted Singham Again which boasts of so many stars in it! I know I have given it my all and I’m looking forward to seeing how people react to me when the film releases,” said Arjun Kapoor in an interaction with Bollywood Hungama.
Known for his cop universe films including ‘Singham’, ‘Simmba’, and ‘Sooryavanshi’, Rohit Shetty, introduced Arjun Kapoor's character with a caption emphasizing the impending chaos.
Arjun, in turn, shared the images on social media, proudly announcing his role as ‘Singham ka villain.’
The film, scheduled for release on August 15, 2024, promises an epic face-off between Arjun Kapoor's character and five super cops, played by Ajay Devgn, Akshay Kumar, Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone, and Tiger Shroff.
Notably, ‘Singham Again’ is not just a sequel to ‘Singham’ but a convergence of iconic characters from Rohit Shetty's cop universe.
