Renowned South Indian actress Jyothika has recently stirred headlines with her temporary relocation to Mumbai, sparking speculations about her personal life.

Addressing the rumors surrounding her separation, Jyothika took a moment to break her silence and provide clarity on the matter.

Contrary to swirling speculations about issues with her in-laws, Jyothika, in a recent interview with a Tamil media outlet, opened up about her decision to move to Mumbai.

She revealed that her parents had faced health challenges multiple times during the pandemic, and due to lockdown restrictions, she was unable to be by their side. Having relocated to Chennai at the age of 25, Jyothika expressed her concern about not being able to spend sufficient time with her parents.

The actress highlighted the challenges women face post-marriage in balancing various responsibilities, especially the care of their parents. To address this and spend quality time with her family, Jyothika opted for a temporary move to Mumbai. She also noted that her children attend school in Mumbai, offering an additional reason for the shift.

Jyothika firmly clarified, "There is no other reason; it is a temporary change, and we are not going to Mumbai permanently." The statement aims to dispel any misconceptions surrounding her relocation decision.

Notably, Jyothika has been married to actor Suriya since September 11, 2006, and they have two children.

On the work front, Jyothika was last seen in 'Kaathal – The Core' opposite Mammootty. She will next be seen in Bollywood movie ‘Sri’ alongside Rajkumar Rao and the remake of the Gujarati psychological thriller 'Vash' alongside Ajay Devgn and R Madhavan
