Anushka Sharma
Anushka Sharma is among the A-listers of Bollywood with several blockbusters in her profile. Right from her first movie 'Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi' opposite Shah Rukh Khan, she has made her presence feel on the silver screen with her stellar performance. She has come along a long way working in over multiple blockbusters including PK, Sultan and Sanju. However, did you know, Anushka was quite arrogant before becoming an actor.
Recently, an old video of Anushka Sharma has recently gone viral, in which the actress has opened up about her early career struggles and personal growth in a candid interview.
She discussed her journey from arrogance to humility, crediting Aditya Chopra for providing her with a much-needed reality check.
In an old interview with actor Koel Purie, which has resurfaced recently, Anushka confessed to having been quite arrogant before becoming an actor. She admitted, "I was very arrogant before I became an actor on screen. I didn't speak to too many people in school and all that. I was really, really like snobbish."
The reality check came when she started working with Aditya Chopra.
Anushka recalled, "I'm really happy I became an actor. Because I really got a reality check when I became an actor, from Aditya Chopra. He said, 'You are doing the film, but you’re not the most good-looking girl.' Till then, I used to think I'm the most good-looking girl. In my head, I was the most good-looking girl, like, mean, come on! But then he told me. And I was like, 'Oh, achha (okay),'"
This blunt yet honest feedback from Aditya Chopra was a turning point for Anushka. It grounded her and made her realize the importance of humility and hard work in the industry.
Anushka's acknowledgement of her early arrogance and the subsequent transformation showcases her journey of personal growth and professional development.
Meanwhile, on the work front, Anushka will next be seen in ‘Chakda 'Xpress,’ produced by her brother Karnesh Ssharma's Clean Slate Films. The film is based on Indian ace women cricketer Jhulan Goswami.
