Anupamaa producer finally confirms Rupali Ganguly and Gaurav Khanna not quitting the show

‘Anupamaa’ has been captivating audiences with its emotional storyline, but recent rumours about Gaurav Khanna and Rupali Ganguly leaving the show have caused concern among fans. 

Gaurav portrays Anuj while Rupali plays the titular role of Anupamaa. Speculation about their exit began after reports surfaced about a potential storyline leap involving Aurra Bhatnagar, who plays Aadhya, Anupamaa and Anuj’s daughter. There is also talk of casting a new actor as an older Aadhya and possibly bringing in Shivam Khajuria from ‘Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai’ as Aadhya’s love interest.

However, in an interview with Hindustan Times, ‘Anupamaa’ producer Rajan Shahi addressed these rumours, calling them baseless. He stated, “This is completely false. Both Gaurav and Rupali are very much part of the show, and their characters are integral to the story. I don’t know where these rumours come from.” 

He further said, "There is no truth to these reports. They have no reason to leave the show. This is fake news and someone's imagination. Time and again, these stories surface, but Gaurav and Rupali are still a part of ‘Anupamaa’."

Earlier Aurra Bhatnagar clarified in an interview with Pinkvilla that the reports are false. She mentioned that if there were any plans for a leap, her parents would be informed by production team well in advance. She also hinted that if the storyline ever introduced Aadhya’s love interest, she might need to leave the show since she is only thirteen and prefers to play roles suited to her age.
