‘Animal,’ producer Pranay Vanga recently addressed the online buzz surrounding Triptii Dimri overshadowing Rashmika Mandanna in the blockbuster movie. In an interview with iDream Media, Pranay opened up about how the narrative of Triptii overshadowing Rashmika Mandanna was created.

He pointed out how the lack of media coverage in Mumbai, PR agencies and background considerations influenced the narrative.

During the conversation, Pranay conveyed his frustration, stating, "Geetanjali was a powerful character, yet critics persist in making it an issue. Rashmika performed admirably in comparison to RK (Ranbir Kapoor), who is undeniably one of the top three actors in cinema today. However, the Mumbai media has not given her the attention she deserves."

Pranay emphasized the strength of Rashmika's character, Geetanjali, in the film, labelling it as one of the best roles after Ranbir Kapoor.

He suggested that the Mumbai media's focus on Triptii Dimri's fame might be obscuring the recognition Rashmika deserves.

The filmmaker further commented, "Possibly, the attention disparity between Triptii Dimri and Rashmika Mandanna is influenced by PR agencies and background considerations. Although not overtly apparent, discerning individuals can read between the lines and understand. Triptii has garnered significant fame."

Continuing his discussion, he expressed his belief in Rashmika's outstanding contribution to the film, asserting, "I genuinely feel Rashmika's role was the best, particularly after RK (Ranbir Kapoor)."

Despite the controversies, ‘Animal’ has achieved significant success at the box office, crossing the Rs 500 crore mark. It stands as the fourth film to achieve this milestone, following ‘Pathaan,’ ‘Gadar 2,’ and ‘Jawan.’ The film features a stellar cast, including Suresh Oberoi and Prem Chopra in key roles.
