Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s latest film ‘Animal,’ featuring Ranbir Kapoor and Rashmika Mandanna is raking moolah at the box office. Despite receiving mixed reviews, the film proved to be a financial hit, and the box office numbers stand as a testament to its success.

While basking in the glory of ‘Animal’s theatrical success, Vanga is now channeling his efforts into editing the film for its upcoming OTT release.

In a recent interview with Komal Nahta, Sandeep Reddy Vanga candidly acknowledged encountering certain issues with the theatrical version of ‘Animal.’ He noted discrepancies in a song, identified costume glitches in certain scenes, criticised makeup choices in specific instances, and highlighted sound irregularities. Taking the opportunity to address these concerns, Vanga is diligently working on refining the OTT version to address these perceived shortcomings.

Reflecting on the editing process, Vanga revealed that he regretted trimming the runtime of ‘Animal’ to 3 hours and 21 minutes from its initial 3 hours and 30 minutes. Expressing his dissatisfaction, he stated, "I don’t know why I edited those 8-9 minutes. Now, I will be using those 5-6 minutes extra."

Vanga emphasised that the Netflix version would incorporate additional shots, rectifying the concerns he identified with the theatrical release.

The OTT version of ‘Animal’ is set to premiere on Netflix, promising audiences an enhanced and polished cinematic experience.

Meanwhile, ‘Animal’ has emerged as the third-highest-grossing movie of the year. From its initial release, the film has consistently shattered records, surpassing Sunny Deol's ‘Gadar 2’ lifetime collection within a remarkable 20 days.
