Actress Ananya Panday was trolled on social media for smoking cigarette during the wedding festivities of her cousin Alanna Panday and her long-time boyfriend Ivor McCray.
Ananya Panday can be seen holding a cigarette in her hand in a picture initially shared by one of her fellow wedding attendees.
While the picture was deleted later, a Reddit user had already taken a screenshot and shared it on the platform, sparking a debate.
Sharing the picture, the reddit user wrote, “Was not expecting Ananya to be a smoker."
In the post, Ananya was standing at one corner and smoking while the wedding guests gathered to celebrate.
Many expressed their shock and concern over Ananya smoking while a few also trolled her after the picture went viral.
“Meri ananya aisi nhi ho sakti,” a user wrote. “Crap, I didn’t know this. She is that beautiful and has such cute lips, can’t believe she is a smoker. Dang,” a comment read.
“I am actually surprised. This is a reminder that not everything is what it seems," another user wrote.
However, many also defended her and urged not to shame her for smoking.
"Oh my god… let them breathe.. let them live their lives…,” a user wrote. Another comment "How it affects you or anyone else? If you are a non-smoker and non-alcoholic good for you. But stop poking your nose at someone else person life," commented a netizen.
On the work front, Ananya will next be seen in ‘Dream Girl 2’ opposite actor Ayushmann Khurrana. She is also a part of in ‘Kho Gaye Hum Kahan’ alongside Siddhant Chaturvedi and Adarsh Gourav.
