Alia Bhatt, Sharvari's Alpha is defining factor for YRF's future Spy Universe; Check details

Alia Bhatt has some of the best movies in her kitty as of now. Apart from Sanjay Leela Bhansali-directed Love and War with Vicky Kaushal and Ranbir Kapoor, she is also gearing up for the release of Alpha – a female-led movie from YRF’s spy universe. Apart from Alia Bhatt, Sharvari Wagh will also play a major role in this flick.

Earlier, there were strong rumours that YRF was planning a movie featuring Tiger and Pathaan, with Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan playing the lead roles. However, after the dismal response to Tiger 3, YRF decided to put it on hold and is now planning to scrap the idea completely.

What’s more the chances of YRF coming out with another movie from the Tiger franchise are also very slim with Salman Khan’s stardom taking a hit after Sikandar’s disappointing performance. So what is next for YRF’s spy universe?

YRF is now heavily relying on Alia Bhatt and Sharvari Wagh’s Alpha to deliver the results. If this all-female-led spy film works wonders at the box-office then Bollywood's biggest production house may come out with more movies in the spy verse albeit with young and new actors.

Reports are adrift that YRF is approaching young actors to come up with new franchises for their spy universe and one of the actors they really are keen to have on board is Vicky Kaushal. YRF is rumoured to be discussing a standalone film with the Chhaava actor although the discussions are currently at the initial stage.

Apart from Alpha, the response to War 2 starring Hrithik Roshan, Jr NTR, and Kiara Advani will also play a major role in YRF’s future planning for movies in the spy universe.
