The actor took to Instagram on Tuesday after visuals of her and husband Ranbir Kapoor’s Bandra residence started circulating online. The videos, allegedly shot from a neighbour’s balcony, show parts of their personal space without their consent.

“This Is Not Content, It’s a Violation”

Expressing her frustration, Alia wrote, “I understand that in a city like Mumbai, space is limited, sometimes the view from your window is another person’s home. But that does not give anyone the right to film private residences and push those videos online.”

She further added, “A video of our home, still under construction, has been recorded and circulated by multiple publications, without our knowledge or consent. This is a clear invasion of privacy and a serious security issue. Filming or photographing someone’s personal space without permission is not ‘content’ — it’s a violation.”

A Firm Appeal to Media and Fans

Alia urged media outlets to take down the images and videos immediately and appealed to her fans not to share or forward the content. “Think about it: would you tolerate videos of the inside of your home being shared publicly, without you knowing? None of us would,” she wrote.

On the professional front, Alia will next be seen alongside Ranbir Kapoor and Vicky Kaushal in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s upcoming film Love & War, which is currently in production.
