Alia Bhatt married 'Twice': Karan Johar reveals...

Karan Johar’s latest directorial Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani has been basking in glory with its appreciation from the critics and the audience alike.

To mark the success of the film, the makers organised a fun press conference where Karan launched the song Kudmayi from RRKPK which was the wedding sequence of Rocky and Rani. However, due to time constraints, it was not included in the film and had appeared along the ending credit.

While launching the song, Karan got candid and made some interesting revelations including the fact that Alia Bhatt had got married twice in a week. 

Yes, you heard that right. Alia had two weddings in a week  - a real-life wedding and another reel wedding. 

While sharing the story with the media, Karan said that Alia shot the song four days after her marriage with Ranbir Kapoor, (on April 14, 2023), and the mehandi on Rani's hands was Alia's actual mehendi from her wedding. For the shoot, they have just darkened the colour of the mehendi.

On the other hand, Alia revealed how both weddings were different from each other while her home wedding was simple and easy. She said was roaming around comfortably and freely in her real wedding while in her reel wedding, she was carrying a heavy lehenga and jewellery and a heavy dupatta. 

She further added that she was grateful that her home wedding was simple. Otherwise, she would not have been able to do it twice.
Interestingly, Alia shared a funny moment about taking the saat phere for the song sequence. A debate broke out that the ladka has to come in front but Alia insisted that the ladki has to come and said, “main abhi abhi karke ayaini hun, mujhe pata hai ladki age jati hai”
