Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor finally announce daughter’s name

Bollywood star couple Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor were blessed with a daughter a few weeks ago. After getting promoted as parents, both Ranbir and Alia have been celebrating parenthood. And now, finally, the duo revealed the name of their daughter. 

Alia took to Instagram and made the announcement that fans were eagerly waiting for. 

Alia shared a blurred image in which she is seen with Ranbir and their daughter. As evident from the caption, Ranbir chose the name for their daughter ‘Raha’. The proud mother also went on to describe different meanings of their daughter’s name. 

As the caption read: “The name Raha (chosen by her wise and wonderful Dadi) has so many beautiful meanings…”

She described her daughter’s name in her caption as: “Raha, in its purest form means divine path, in Swahili she is Joy, in Sanskrit, Raha is a clan, in Bangla - rest, comfort, relief, in Arabic peace, it also means happiness, freedom & bliss.”

Further, the caption read: “And true to her name, from the first moment we held her - we felt it ALL! ❤️Thank you Raha, for bringing our family to life, it feels as though our lives have only just begun. ☀️☀️☀️”

While Ranbir's sister Riddhima Kapoor Sahani and co-actor Anushka Sharma showered love for the post, his cousin Kareena Kapoor Khan wrote, "Raha Kapoor can I hold you ❤️can’t wait ❤️."
