Fans of both Tamil superstars Ajith and Vijay expressed outrage after the ‘Leo’ actor was attacked with slippers by an unidentified person during late actor and DMDK president Vijayakanth’s funeral.

The crazy fans of Ajith and Vijay who usually engaged in war have now joined hands to find the culprit at any cost and teach him/her a lesson. This is the rare instance of friendship between Ajith and Vijay fans as they always engage in war over their favourite stars.

Ajith fans claim he is the superstar of Tamil industry while Vijay fans also claim the same. However, they have now come together to catch the miscreant who threw slippers at Vijay. The Leo star was present at the Island Ground, Chennai to pay respect to the late actor-politician when the incident occurred.

“We Ajith fans also condemn such act as Vijay anna is the pride of our state,” a user commented.

Another user wrote, “This is so disrespectful to the stars who represent our state. Vijay, Ajith are also the pride of Tamil Nadu like Captain Vijayakanth. All of them deserve respect.”

“This man should be caught and given belt treatment,” another fan wrote.

The clip shared by a fan page shows the actor moving towards his vehicle when he is mobbed by his fans. A few seconds later, a slipper is hurled at him. However, Vijay doesn’t look back and keeps moving towards his vehicle as his bodyguards try hard to make way for him as fans go crazy.

The actor is yet to make any comments regarding the incident.

Vijayakanth’s funeral took place at 1 pm at the Island Ground, Chennai in the presence of several celebrities and political leaders. Fondly referred to as ‘Captain’, Vijayakanth was reportedly tested Covid-19 positive and had been on ventilator support after he complained of breathing problems.

Vijay was last seen in Lokesh Kangaraj’s ‘Leo’ and is currently gearing up for the release of his upcoming movie with Venkat Prabhu.
