Ajay Devgn claims RRR’s Naatu Naatu won Oscar because of him – Watch

SS Rajamouli's RRR movie has created history after the ‘Naatu Naatu’ song won the Oscars and brought laurels to the country. The blockbuster track won Best Original Song at the 95th Academy awards.

This apart, the song also won a Golden Globe for best original song – a first for India. The same month, it also won the Critics’ Choice award for the best song.

Meanwhile, action star Ajay Devgn, who was also part of the movie, claims that the song won the Oscars because of him. Recently, Ajay Devgn appeared in ‘The Kapil Sharma Show’ to promote his upcoming action-thriller ‘Bholaa’ where he made the hilarious revelation.

After Kapil Sharma congratulated Ajay Devgn for the Oscar win, the latter claimed Naatu Naatu ne Oscar meri wajah se jeeta (Naatu Naatu won Oscar because of me).”

A curious Kapil Sharma asks ‘Kaise?” to which Ajay Devgn replied, “Agar maine uss gaane mein naach diya hota toh (what if I had danced in the song)?” following which all the audience was left in splits.

Ajay seemed to take a dig at his dancing skills and made the audience laugh with his witty lines. The video was shared on Instagram by Sony TV.

On the professional front, Ajay Devgn will be next seen in Bholaa, a remake of Tamil movie Kaithi.
