A few days after actress Surveen Chawla, the stunning Saiyami Kher, in a candid revelation, has opened up about a casting couch experience she faced early in her career. Best known for her performances in films like Ghoomer and Choked, Saiyami shared that she was once approached by a female agent from the Telugu film industry who suggested her to "compromise" to secure a role.

This incident occurred when Saiyami was around 18 to 20 years old. The agent implied that such compromises were common in the industry, but Saiyami firmly refused, stating that she wasn't desperate enough to agree to such terms.

Saiyami highlighted that exploitation in the entertainment industry can come from any gender, underscoring the pervasive nature of the issue.

Beyond this incident, Saiyami has also spoken about the pressures of conforming to certain beauty standards in the industry. She recalled being advised to undergo cosmetic procedures like lip and nose jobs when she was starting out, a suggestion she chose to ignore. Saiyami believes in embracing one's individuality and hopes for a more inclusive environment in showbiz.

Saiyami's decision to speak out contributes to the ongoing conversation about creating a safer and more equitable environment in the entertainment world. Earlier, actress Surveen Chawla had recently opened up about her harrowing experiences with the casting couch in the Indian film industry, shedding light on the persistent issue of sexual harassment and exploitation.

Chawla recounted multiple instances where she faced inappropriate advances from industry professionals. One particularly unsettling incident involved a director who attempted to kiss her immediately after discussing her marriage.

Chawla also shared a distressing experience from her early career in the Tamil film industry. She described undergoing a grueling 12-hour screen test, only to later receive a proposition from an associate of a National Award-winning director, suggesting she "compromise" to secure a role.
