  • According to reports, Tollywood superstar Nayanthara has been approached for the female lead in Atlee’s next with SRK.
  • Nayanthara is yet to give approval to this proposal and fans are eagerly awaiting her confirmation.

Southern biggies are now eyeing big movies and success in Bollywood after earning huge success in the regional cinema. Rashmika Mandanna, Rakul Preet Singh, and Pooja Hegde are a few South Indian actresses who have already managed to get big projects from Bollywood under their kitty. And now it is the turn of the queen of Tollywood-Nayanthara.

According to a buzz, she has been approached to star opposite Shah Rukh Khan’s movie to be helmed by Atlee.

Atlee Kumar is at present busy with the pre-production works related to this SRK starrer and is simultaneously narrowing down the star cast for this project.

Reportedly, this big banner movie will hit the floors in August this year. And that is why this young Kollywood director wants to first finalize the lead actress for this flick. According to sources Atlee wants his Bigil and Raja Rani actress to play the lead role in the SRK movie which is his dream project.

However, the Darbar fame star is yet to give a nod to this proposal.  If the lady superstar says yes then it will be a moment of joy for her fans as she will be working in a big movie bankrolled by Karan Johar and the Badshah Khan of Bollywood.

The team has already signed Oscar-winning music composer A.R. Rehman for composing the soundtrack. Interestingly, Nayanthara was also offered a special dance number by Rohit Shetty a few years ago for Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone starrer Chennai Express but she had rejected the offer. Later on, another South Indian star Priyamani shared the screen with SRK.

But now with almost all of the big South Indian actresses including Rashmika and Samantha making a bee-line for Bollywood, it is high time that the lady superstar of Tollywood also makes an entry in the world of Hindi cinema.
