Vijay Deverakonda-Salman Khan
Shah Rukh Khan's Dunki vs Prabhas' Salaar: Part One- Ceasefire was one of the intense clashes witnessed at the box office in the recent past. Though Dunki performed better in the Hindi belt and was appreciated by critics and the audience, Salaar's global box office collection was much higher. Now, as per the latest buzz in the industry, Tollywood actor Vijay Deverakonda is all set to clash with Salman Khan.
Vijay Deverakonda recently stunned fans with his new rugged looks in his upcoming, tentatively titled VD 12. In the latest poster, the Liger actor sports short hair and a beard in the poster. Drenched in blood, the Dear Comrade actor seems to be screaming while standing in the rain. Well, the poster has triggered excitement among his fans as their matinee idol is all set to stun them in a never-seen avatar. The movie is set to hit theaters on 28 March 2025. However, the latest reports suggest that Vijay is prepping for a 'faceoff' with Salman Khan at the box office.
The latest reports suggest that 60 per cent filming of VD12 is done. Furthermore, Anirudh Ravichander is busy composing music for the flick. Expectedly, the title announcement will be done later this month.
On the other hand, Salman Khan's Sikandar will be released during Eid in 2025 and is scheduled for release on March 30. Well, this coincides with the release of VD12, which confirms a direct clash of the duo at the box office. Moreover, rumours have been abuzz that VD12 makers have plans to release the Hindi-dubbed version pan-India.
In the last few years, Salman has delivered no major hits. Fans are hopeful that Sikandar, helmed by AR Murugadoss, will revive his career. Moreover, Salman enjoys a free run on Eid with no major competition, which ensures good box office performance. However, the next year seems to be challenging.
Undeniably, the battle between the fans of both actors will be fierce on social media. Well, the result of the box office clash will be revealed after the movies hit the theatres.
Notably, after the debacle of Zero, which clashed with Yash's KGF: Chapter 1 in 2018, SRK bounced back with Pathaan and Jawan. Both the movies performed well at the box office and fans expected that Dunki would also have a good run. However, Dunki couldn't match up with Salaar, in terms of collections. If the reports are anything to go by, for the first time, Vijay Deverakonda will clash with Salman Khan. And, Sikandar's box office verdict will predict if Sallu bounces back or fails.
