The Taliban's stunning and rapid takeover of Afghanistan has spread fear and uncertainty across the country. Several videos of people struggling, jostling to get on a plane to leave the war-torn country from the Kabul airport have gone viral, leaving everyone sad and disappointed. 

Amid this chaotic situation, many celebs including actresses Alia Bhatt, Samantha Akkineni, Kangana Ranaut, Rashmika Mandanna, Kajal Aggarwal and Aditi Rao Hydari have taken to social media to express their solidarity with the people of Afghanistan. They also expressed their fear for the safety of women and children in the war-torn country.

Bollywood actress Alia Bhatt took to her Instagram stories to share about how women and children are being forced to follow 7th-century laws and how their dreams are shattered.

Samantha Akkineni, who is quite vocal on social media, took to her Instagram stories to share a video of a woman talking about the grim situation in Afghanistan as the capital city, Kabul, was captured by the Taliban. She also questioned, “Are we really going to sit back and watch this happen? (sic).”

The Oh Baby actress also shared a post expressing concern for women and children in the war-torn country. "IN AFGHANISTAN WOMEN ARE FACING AN DEVASTATING AND UNTHINKABLE REALITY," read the post.

Kangana Ranaut also took to Instagram to share how all minorities should be safe in a country and anticipated saving Afghanistan. She wrote, "It's true right now Afghanistan needs up, all those dramebaz who cried foul for Palestine muslims are enjoying brutal bloodbath of Afghani Muslims, I want to thank our Government for proposing CAA and giving hope and a place for live to all the Hundus, Sikhs, Buddists, Jains, Parsis, Christians and other minorities from all neighbouring Islamic nations....I wish we could save entire Afghanistan but charity begins at home, we are going to save all minorities there and someday we will save the world as well...Pryaing for Afghanistan."

Actress Kajal Aggarwal also took to her Instagram stories to share a post about women in Afghanistan being subjected to laws of the seventh century.
