Actress Esha Deol, who was rumoured to be living separately for a long time, has left her fans in shock after announcing her separation from businessman and husband Bharat Takhtani. Esha was married to Bharat for 11 years.
The two released an official statement that read, “We have mutually and amicably decided to part ways. Through this shift in our lives, the best interests and welfare of our two children is and will be of utmost importance to us.”
The letter further read, “We would appreciate that our privacy is respected throughout. Thank you, Esha Deol and Bharat Takhtani.”
The celebrity couple married in 2012 and is parents to two daughters Miraya and Radhya.
Before their announcement, there were speculations about their divorce after a fan pointed out that Esha hadn’t posted any pictures with her husband for a long time. The fan’s theory has now turned out to be true.
Die-hard fans of Esha are sending love and best wishes to the actress and encouraging her to stay strong during her low phase. The gorgeous beauty best known for ‘Dhoom’ is the daughter of veteran actors Dharmendra and Hema Malini.
She made her debut with the 2002 film ‘Koi Mere Dil Se Poochhe’ opposite Aftab. She then went on to feature in hit movies like Dhoom, No Entry, and Dus among others. She took a brief break from the film industry after her marriage to Bharat in 2012.
Later, she made her comeback in the short film ‘Cakewalk’ and also featured as one of the gang leaders in the TV reality show Roadies X 2. Although, she did not receive the much needed breakthrough, she has featured in a few more projects like Rudra: The Edge of Darkness and Hunter Tootega Nahi Todega.
She was last seen in the short film Ek Duaa that received a special mention at the 69th National Awards last year. She has also authored the book Amma Mia: Stories, Advice and Recipes From One Mother to Another.
