Mumbai's allure as the 'city of dreams' resonates deeply with countless aspiring actors. People land in the city with a bag of dreams and hopes to build a career in the film industry. While some lucky people get a break overnight, others struggle a lot. Even some of them get a chance to work but later fade away. There are many such stories of aspiring actors. But, here we bring the story of such an actor who worked with big stars like Akshay Kumar and under big banners like Yash Raj Films, but now, he is employed as a security guard to run errands for his family.

Savi Sidhu's Journey from an Actor to becoming a Security Guard

Savi Sidhu, hailing from Lucknow, started his career in modelling in Chandigarh. Later, he moved back to Lucknow to study law where he also got associated with theatres.

In the early stages of his acting career, Sidhu worked with big stars like Akshay Kumar, and Ayushmann Khurrana. He worked under popular production banners like Yash Raj Films and Subhas Ghai. He worked in movies like Gulaal, Patiala House, and Bewakoofiyaan. As per a report in DNA India, Sidhu's brother got a job in Air India following which he moved to Mumbai to fulfil his dreams of becoming an actor.

However, destiny had something else for him. In his initial days, there was no scarcity of work. But, suddenly he started feeling ill and he was forced to away from work.

Expressing his pain, Sidhu revealed that due to lack of work, he had to work as a security guard to meet the daily needs of his family.

Sidhu was quoted as saying, "Issi umeed ke saath kam kar raha hoon, ki thoda bank balance banega, producers-directors ko milunga. And, I am hopeful ki mujhe role denge."

Earlier, during an interview with Film Companion, Sidhu revealed that during his hard times, he met director Anurag Kashyap and he offered him to work in Paanch. However, due to unknown reasons, the film didn't release. Later, he worked in Black Friday and played the role of Commissioner Sharma.
