Odisha cine artist association, family, and well-wishers of Ollywood actor Pintu Nanda have launched an appeal to raise funds for the treatment of actor, who is suffering from liver-related ailments.

As per reports, actor Pintu Nanda was admitted to a private hospital in Bhubaneswar on Wednesday after his health condition deteriorated.

According to his nephew, the doctor said that the actor's liver is damaged and has advised for an immediate transplant in Delhi which will cost around Rs 50 lakh. Failing to do the transplant could be life-threatening for the actor, informed sources. 

“You all have showered me with love over the past 25 years. Currently, I have landed in huge trouble and I need everyone’s help. My brother Mitu Mithun (actor) is with me and I wish all of you will come forward to help me,” appealed Pintu Nanda.

While the family is trying to crowd-fund the treatment, the Odisha cine artist association has stepped up to help. Apart from urging the State government, the actor’s family and the association have pleaded to the general public to extend a helping hand for the treatment. 

The association held a meeting on Thursday to discuss the same.

 “A huge amount of money is required for his (Pintu) treatment. We have gathered here to discuss about arranging the required funds and ensure the best treatment so that he will overcome his ailment and return to us,” said Siddhant Mohapatra, actor and President of Odisha Cine Artist Association.
